I awoke this morning with an echo in my head. Well, two really: one of a trio of songs that my brain fused together in a strange and disconcerting way that made sense at first, only to terrify me later. The other a simple phrase. Just one that has decided to permeate my psyche for the rest of the day, and no amount of distractions, conversations, or stimulant medications has been able to dislodge from my head.
